The management of A CALL FOR ONENESS in an exclusive interview with WINGLESS MEDIA on 8th of November 2025 urges Nigerian masses to put away tribalism, favoritism and all other divisive tools used by bad leaders.
The movement that has set aside tribe, faith, political party and personal comfort to choose leaders by character, competence and values counsels Nigerian masses to look beyond the aforementioned to herald in good leadership and development into the country.
"Nigeria today stands at a crossroads. The road behind is littered with promises unkept; the road ahead will be built by the courage of citizens who refuse to look away.
We of A CALL FOR ONENESS advise the Nigerian masses to set aside tribe, faith, party and personal comfort. Choose leaders by character and competence, not by convenience."
This was said by Comrade Edward Astaire, one of the leaders in the movement.
Comrade Astaire further said,
"Call out bad leadership when you see it. Demand accountability.
Our divisions have been our single greatest failure. Too often we permit identity to trump interest: we defend men because they share our faith or tribe; we excuse corruption because a politician once helped a neighbour.
But every time we do this we trade the public good for a private favor. Division is not merely an argument in the marketplace of ideas it is the slow theft of our common future."
He spoke of how young Nigerians resort to illegalities due to lack of employment and hope in the country's development.
"Perception of corruption is high and persistent, an international index places Nigeria among the countries scoring very poorly on transparency.
Socially and morally, there are tremors. Too many of our young people, though energetic and talented, find themselves underutilized or discouraged, while the loudest reward in some circles goes to short-cuts and graft rather than honest toil. Official labour surveys reveal that underutilisation and discouragement in our labour force are real problems that compound inequality and corrode hope.", he said.
He also admonished the Nigerian masses to join the movement while explaining more on what the movement stands for.
"A CALL FOR ONENESS is not a slogan. It is a compact that will judge us by the content of our character and commitments; that we will not hide behind excuses or tribal shields; that we will press for a nation where accountability is expected and integrity rewarded.
Let every Nigerian who loves this country hear and answer this call. The work will require grit. But the prize: a Nigeria restored in moral purpose, economic fairness and social cohesion is worth every sacrifice. We call on all the Nigerian masses to join us as we rebuild our nation."
